My life is interesting and rich

 

Even though my life has been one of pain this week,  it has also been interesting. I am blessed with many friends both nearby and online. I have endured a great deal the last two years and lost much in the way of temporal goods, yet gained something way better…a very strong faith in God and a passel of friends. Every time things looked bleak, someone has helped me out. I might not always get what I want, but I always get what I need

I keep thinking about the dozens of folks from church who helped me move, the hundreds of people who have prayed for me and the zillions who have given me a smile or a pat on the back or a wink across a room. My life is soooooo much better thanks to my fellow travelers here on earth and my Heavenly Father and His son, my brother, Jesus Christ. The gift of the Holy Spirit to be with me is an incredible blessing. I am never alone and I am always deeply loved and cared for.

Agony

 

I’m not winning any awards for my stoicism today. I am in agony. Hopefully only Zeke and Aleka can hear me moaning and screaming. One minute I am freezing and covered in goose bumps, the next I am soaked in sweat and burning up.  The nausea is unrelenting. The pain is fierce.

 

I’ve had quite a few kidney stones. This one feels worse! My blood pressure has sky rocketed from it.  I’m usually a bit over 100 over 50 or 60. Today I was 155/90! I never had blood pressure this high before. I can’t sit, I can’t stand, I can’t lie down without squirming and crying. Geeze….I’m a wimp….
