Gosh, who knew baking the sacrament bread would make so many people happy? One woman made her grandson find out what kind of bread it was because she wanted to buy some. Another woman joked she was bringing pb&j to sacrament. Many folks have commented on how yummy it is.
Honey Oatmeal Bread
1 cup water
3 Tbsp honey
2 cups flour
1 cup oats
2 Tbsp dry milk
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp yeast
Put in bread machine on the regular cycle. I like it with the light crust. Sometimes I put 2 Tbsp of vital wheat gluten in the bottom of the measuring cup before putting in the regular flour.

~Hi Wendy.
I just wanted to write and tell you I love this bread I make it for big suppers and everyone loves it. I really love it too. So thank you for sharing it. Because I do believe you shared this recipe before this.
Hope all is well
When I posted this last, I said 2 1/4 cups flour, but now I’m just using two cups. I like it both ways. My recipes are always morphing.
There is your way for extra income. How about selling the bread? In addition, anytime someone donates something to you to give/send them a loaf of it.

Wendy, can you tell me how to mix/rise this without a bread machine? I really want to try it but done’t have a machine….or maybe I should just go to the goodwill/thrift store and get a bread machine? I’m sure it would be a good investment.
Thanks!
Connie
Well…pretend you are a bread machine! Mix it all together then knead until the dough feels like a baby’s bottom. Let rise in an oiled bowl until double. Form into a loaf or rolls. Let rise again. Bake at 350 until done. I vote for getting a bread machine!!!! You can dump the ingredients in, take a nap or go garden and the next thing you know, there’s yummy warm bread
