Where to start? And what to say to not gross you out too much?
I’m getting up into the old lady category. Every month I hope for menopause
This has been a strange month of stops and starts. I felt horrible yesterday and napped. I was woken up by a neighbor wanting some spaghetti sauce. I scrounged some up for him and went right back to snoozing. The next time I woke up it was a bark from Zeke saying he needed to go out.
Well…I literally woke up in a pool of blood. I had passed a gigantic blood clot. That explained why I was so red yesterday. I feel unbelievably yucky from clots. Then this morning another humongous clot came out. Ick!
I’m feeling woozy and my heart is beating funny and things just aren’t right. Took my blood sugar and it’s 197! I haven’t been that high in a looooooong time. Back when I was on prednisone, the combination of that and having my period would really raise my blood sugar. But….I’m not on prednisone right now
Like I said….oh, crap! I can feel the sugar climbing higher as I type. I’ll wait an hour and test again. One more thing to go back to worrying about. Sigh….
An hour later it was 205. Now at 5 pm it’s 99.

WENDY
You are a really bright woman. You’re body is telling you that it is time to get healthy. I would strongly suggest a complete medical workup…is that possible?? It’s not easy to change bad habits.
I am struggling now with going off sugar totally. My blood sugar is perfect according to my doctor however I have diabetes on both sides of the family and I don’t want to take a chance. I frankly am sick and tired of feeling crappy. I am trying to respect my body which is as the bible tells us is the temple of the holy spirit.
Please begin to take care of yourself. You are the only person who can do that.

Girl, if you are passing huge clots, you need to be checked asap! Insurance phoey!! They have to see you no matter what. I know you hate to go and so do I, but this seems urgent!!
I was first diagnosed diabetic when on high doses of prednisone. I went very low carb for 6 months and low carb for another 6 months. That was several years ago and I’ve been testing between 80-95 since.
Sugar is not the culprit…all carbs are…oatmeal, rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, etc. Even some vegies are high carb.
I’m afraid the gallstone has done something to my pancreas. That’s one of the things that can happen ;-(
Oh yeah I know…when I say sugar I mean anything with white flour, sugar, rice etc, etc,. Told my mood is in the dumps as I struggle off this crap.

Lila…The clot thing has been life long. I have endometriosis and a lupus coagulant problem. I almost died having Heather because of that. What’s new is a stop-start, hardly there then BIG clots menstrual period….and the raised blood sugar. I had my annual female exams last August. I need to find a new gyn. I have insurance now….but it is the worst company yet! Ever hear of United Health Care? Many of the docs listed in their literature don’t even accept their insurance. Pffffffttttt….
WOW then Wendy, maybe you need to not make the bread. That’s scary.
Also, I would like to most respectfully suggest that when you are upset not to use swear words and instead head your article here with something like
Amazing
Or CAN you EVEN believe this
Or
I AM so frustrated!
It’s a good habit to get into.
Just a thought

Crap is a swear word???? That’s a new one to me! The bread smells sooooo good…it’s almost done. So, why shouldn’t I bake it?
GROSS! TMI !
LOL you can BAKE it, I was just suggesting that you don’t EAT it–it’s high in carbs/sugar and not good for you to be eating so much bread. I mean, I would love to eat a nice loaf of fresh bread every week also but I limit myself to a couple of pieces a month. If I didn’t I would gain weight and not be able to do the things I like to do like bend over and tie my shoes! lol
Also, it’s not good for your health, can exacerbate health conditions by being so overweight.
Also, I got the definition for your swear word on the internet. It’s the same thing as saying “sh*t”
“crap 1 (krp) Vulgar
n.
1. Excrement.
2. An act of defecating.”
Anyway, you can say it, you can swear — I was just suggesting that you not.
It’s just a thought.

Hmmmm…that’s called assuming….I bake the sacrament bread, cut off the bottom and top crusts and slice the rest. The dog gets the bottom crust over the next few days and I eat the very small dome shaped top piece in the next day or two. All the rest goes to church.
