It’s the closest I’ve been to Vermont since I left in 2005. I could see Vermont across the lake.
Rt 3 from my house to Plattsburgh is pretty desolate. There is a sign for a Moose Crossing Next 15 Miles. It looks a lot like the drive from Worcester, VT to Morrisville…same vegetation, same sign…
There was snow here, then lots more snow at the highest pass. I went as far north as Beekmantown and there was no snow there….but THOUSANDS of snow geese in a corn field. About a mile south of there was another field with about three dozen Canadian geese.
Never would probably be too soon to return to Plattsburgh
I ALWAYS get lost there….even when it seems impossible to do so. The only reason I drove the 42 miles was to get Zeke’s insulin. I went to Sam’s Club and blew my month’s worth of grocery money. I hope next month I can get someone to pick up insulin without me going!
A hundred miles is too far for me nowdays. I am soooooo tired and sore! The best part of the trip was getting to see SUN and blue sky! They only have that stuff up Plattsburgh way. It’s gloomy here. It was so toasty warm in Plattsburgh that I didn’t even wear my coat….left it in the car
I actually had a hard time finding a whole handful of snow to clean my windshield. It’s probably all gone, now.
I’ve been feeling lonely and lonesome. The drive to and from Plattsburgh only emphasized that. With only about 30 people in my LDS ward, it’s a small batch to get to know. I haven’t been here in the area long enough to have many true friends. I need to join some group…find something I can meet people at…

You might remember a discussion we had a while back about a specific fellowship. That might be a good place to meet people.
