It just doesn’t seem right that a place of worship should make me sick
It’s absolutely, positively the building doing it to me. I did not feel great when I went to church, but I soon felt awful when inside the building. My tongue swelled up so much that it was hard to swallow or sing. Instant headache, PITA double vision, queasiness, throat swelling, feeling floaty, etc. When I got in the car to go, I had that lovely red, glowing lupus face. Grrrrrrr……
When we got back from John Dillon Park yesterday, there were two messages on my machine…both from the doc I have wanted since I moved here. The message was to call and make an appointment
I’m itching to make that call Monday! The guy I have now is such an idiot….. Health care is one of the big limiting factors of me staying in the Adirondacks. With a good doc, my mind and body would be MUCH happier.
Now this other limiting factor comes along. The church building makes me sick. Sigh….the nearest other LDS churches are 40 and more miles away. I figure the whole thing with me not feeling much like a part of this branch and the building making me sick is one of those stumbling blocks that I am supposed to learn and grow from.
The good news after church was FREE flowers and herbs! The greenhouse I stopped at last week said they were closing down this past Saturday. When I went by after church, the flats were out by the road with a free sign
I got one flat of parsley and basil, 1 1/2 flats of petunias and 3 1/2 flats of white, pink and purple alyssum. Heather and I spent quite a while planting them all in pots and the garden. Nice
I made a fake crab salad for lunch and Heather had the same thing but with lettuce instead of seafood. For supper I made a big stir fry in my garage sale wok.
The forecast was for a mostly sunny day. We got 90+ percent clouds. Now at 7:30 PM, the sun has come out. More rain forecast for tomorrow. One of these days the sun will shine and the warm weather vegetables will grow (I think!?!?).
Wednesday is coming too soon! I have to give Heather back to her husband when he flies here. It has been nice to have her with me again.
I’ve been wishing I could go to the Palmyra Temple and the Hill Cumorah Pageant. It only goes from July 14th to the 18th. MapQuest says $60 in gas. If I didn’t buy anything else all month, I MIGHT have enough to go. I have $80, but Zeke needs more insulin. Decisions, decisions…..
I am sooo excited and happy for you with the news about the doctor! I hope your travails with getting medical care are soon to end!
And definitely a serendipidous day with your greenhouse goodies too!
I’m waiting to hear WHY I finally got the good doc. I’m hoping it’s not too good to be true…
Wendy…the pageant is awesome. Well worth the trip, particularly if you have never had the opportunity to go. You would love it.
I went many summers as a kid…but have not gone since becoming LDS. It would make more sense now!
I’m glad you have an appointment with the doctor you want. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
